RVU TV Offices

MVRDV (1994-97)

The RVU Offices are a part of the ‘TV campus’ in Hilversum that includes VPRO, VARA and NPS. This building is invisible from the street, appearing like a field of grasses with a path down the middle – a clever way to maintain the ‘natural’ setting. Following that path, a visitor will find steps leading down to an intermediate level with doors leading into the RVU building. The stairs lead further to the car and cycle parking area below the building, then on to the VPRO building further down the slope. The exposed section of building is clad in Corten steel with a full-height glazed wall at the very end.
